Commodore

Commodore (or more properly, Commodore International), was an American electronics company based in West Chester, Pennsylvania started in 1954 by Jack Tramiel. The company was a vital player in the home and personal computer field in the 1980s, developing and marketing the world's best-selling desktop computer, the Commodore 64 (1982). However, the company declared bankruptcy on April 29, 1994, and its assets were liquidated.
