Strategic Simulations, Inc.

Strategic Simulations, Inc. (SSI) was a computer game developer and publisher founded in 1979 by Joel Billings, a wargame enthusiast. The company was especially notable for its numerous wargames, and for the groundbreaking Panzer General series. In 1994, SSI was acquired by Mindscape, and spent time as part of Mattel, before finally becoming part of Ubisoft in March 2001, who have since retired the brand name.
