Virgin Interactive Entertainment

Virgin Interactive was a successful and influential British video game publisher, originally formed as 'Virgin Games' from the leftovers of the large-scale 1980s label, Mastertronics, which was purchased by Virgin in 1987. In 1994 it was renamed Virgin Interactive.

Virgin Interactive published games for PC and gaming systems, including the ZX Spectrum, Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64 and the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). In 1999, it was acquired by the French publisher Titus Software and its name was changed to Avalon Interactive on July 1, 2003.
